Software Engineer

OVERVIEW
Mid-level software development and support of highly technical software components.  A Software Engineer will follow the architecture established for the projects on which they participate. We are seeking a self-motivated individual looking to establish a career with a fast-paced rapidly growing company.  The role requires a client-focused professional committed to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.

POSITION LOCATION
Remote, USA

EXPECTATIONS
  • Works on software development projects of moderate complexity, individually or on a project team.
  • Develops software primarily in Java.  May be required to develop in C#/.NET if a client’s system requires it. 
  • Seeks guidance from more experienced members of staff and as needed, from reference materials and technical guides, tutorials, etc.
  • Follows the architecture established for the project and company-adopted best practices.
  • Deploys integration components and other software within internal environments or within client environments.
  • Diagnoses and fixes deployed components and software within client environments.
  • Participates in daily standup, weekly and monthly team meetings and quarterly planning sessions. 
  • Participates in meetings with clients as required.
  • Divides time between new development and client support as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Some post-education experience required with Object Oriented design and development in software development preferably in Java
  • Basic relational database skills required
  • Some experience required with SOAP or Restful web service development.
  • Web front end development experience with React or similar framework.
  • Apache CXF, Spring Framework experience
  • Experience using source control tools
  • Experience using Linux or Windows environments
  • .Net/C# knowledge and experience
