OVERVIEW Mission Critical Partners has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level DevOps Engineer who is passionate about creating and supporting cloud platforms. This role works within MCP’s Data Science team to build cloud-based applications to serve the Public Safety and Criminal Justice audience at the state and federal level. Typical projects will involve Big Data Processing and Machine Learning. As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing services on cloud platforms (such as AWS and Azure) both within the commercial and government (GovCloud) spaces. POSITION LOCATION Denver, CO – Remote in the region

Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Can support both AWS and Azure cloud platforms
Focus on improving our CI / CD pipeline
Promotes security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle
Ability to write clear technical documentation
Enjoys working within a team environment and participates in daily team standups

BASIC REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
Four-year degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of post-education experience in Software Development
2+ years hand-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Experience packaging and delivering software to production environment
Experience using Linux environments
Expertise in AWS or Microsoft Azure and its core services such as:
Strong security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle
Familiar with programming languages such as Python and Java
Experience using source control tools such as Github or Bitbucket
Experiencing building and configuring REST APIs
Experience building Machine Learning pipelines
Specific experience supporting Python-heavy products
Experience working with non-Relational databases such as MongoDB, ElasticSearch, or Solr
Knowledge of Apache Spark, Hive, Hadoop
