Proposal Coordinator

OVERVIEW
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated professional looking to establish a career with a client-centric, fast-paced, and growing company. This person will act as our Business Development/Sales Proposal Coordinator. The individual will support a growing business development team. The role requires an experienced proposal writer with a growth-oriented and results-driven professional manner and a commitment to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.

POSITION LOCATION
State College, PA or Remote

EXPECTATIONS
  • Coordinate proposal process for growing business development team with responsibilities to respond to competitive and sole source solicitations
  • Research, discover and source leads for proposal opportunities
  • Create scope of work content in response to client requirements
  • Develop entire proposals based on boilerplates in conjunction with internal teams specific to clients and their geography
  • Execute continuous proposal improvement process to ensure constant enhancement of proposal content and presentation
  • Research and further qualify leads generated through website or vendor registrations to handoff to business development managers
  • Support competitive analysis of competitor proposals, pricing, marketing, and strategy to find value add for MCP
  • Maintain and update project experience sheets for existing and new projects for use as proposal references

BASIC REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (potentially including boosters) is an essential requirement of this role. MCP will adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance where required, subject to approved medical or religious exemptions
  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency communications, public safety and/or emergency management is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of proposal development experience
  • Successful history and background working with one or more of the following: Public Safety Operations, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Public Safety Broadband and Wireless Communications, Next Generation 911 (NG911), IP based technologies, Data Integration Services, Criminal Justice and/or Information Technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Knowledge of Deltek VantagePoint and/or other automated sales management tools is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local agency policies and regulatory activities related to 911
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive to our client locations and MCP regional offices
