Marketing Specialist

Pittsburgh or remote location, Pennsylvania · Marketing/Public Relations
OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing MCP’s marketing strategy. In this position, you will lead marketing campaigns, evaluate performance metrics and collaborate with internal teams. Candidates must have a marketing background with excellent communications skills and attention to detail. EXPECTATIONS
  • Manages marketing, advertising, and promotional activities for MCP’s consulting business
  • Develops and implements marketing plans and projects for existing and new services
  • Reports on return on investment and key performance metrics
  • Creates marketing presentations
  • Contribute content and outreach for website and social media campaigns including blogs, articles for trade magazines and social media outlets including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook
  • Digital marketing responsibilities
    • Uses WordPress to manage and refresh the content on the company’s website 
    • Uses HubSpot to manage digital outreach campaigns 
    • Assists with SEM/SEO efforts
  • Brand management responsibilities
    • Ensure alignment to MCP brand strategy and help support staff members related to brand support
  • Miscellaneous tasks
    • Engage in day-to-day activity with marketing partners
    • Participate in the development of annual and quarterly marketing plans

BASIC REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, English or liberal arts
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing communications, advertising, corporate communications, public relations, media relations, brand marketing, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience implementing campaigns or projects that focus on:
    • Marketing communications
    • Social media engagement
    • Media relations
    • Employee engagement communications
  • Understands elements of brand marketing and can effectively deploy them with moderate management direction
  • Experience with WordPress and HubSpot
  • Experience working in the public safety industry is preferred
  • Previous business writing, editing, and proofreading experience
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive your own vehicle to client locations and other MCP offices
