Lead Senior Software Engineer - Integration

Mission Critical Partners is growing!  Our Data Integration Services team has a new opportunity for a lead software engineer to manage a team focused on the development and support of moderate to complex software components.  The projects are usually directly involved in public safety - justice system integrations.  Other types of work may be required.  The Lead Software Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and Technical Architect to set the direction for projects on which they participate. Lead Software Engineer will also mentor and guide other staff members on technical aspects in their field.   • Engage in software development projects of advanced complexity as a team lead over other junior and senior software engineers
  • Develop software primarily in Java.May be required to develop in C#/.NET or Python if a client’s system requires it.Write and maintain stored procedures and SQL scripts
  • Develop SOAP and REST web services supporting both XML and JSON Payloads
  • Use Apache CXF, Camel and ActiveMQ in conjunction with web services
  • May serve as a technical lead and participate in setting the architecture for a project.Guide less experienced team members as needed
  • Deploy integration components and other software within internal environments or within client environments
  • Diagnose and fix deployed components and software within client environments
  • Participate in daily standup and may lead weekly and monthly team meetings
  • Participates in quarterly planning sessions
  • Participates in or leads meetings with clients as required and will be expected to divide time between new development projects and client support as required
  • All other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of post-education experience in software development
  • Demonstrated experience working with data structures (relational, NoSQL and other), security, data integrity and related technologies
  • Requires prior hands-on background with the following:
  • Apache Lucene
  • SQL Server & Oracle PL/SQL
  • Zero MQ (or similar lightweight queuing components) architecture and development
  • CI, Jenkins and Azure/AWS DevOps
  • UML documents
  • Ability to update and maintain CI processes
  • Candidates will be required to have experience and discuss their understanding with the following:
  • Maven and/or NuGet in project development. Both is preferred
  • Message patterns, system interoperability and web services
  • Package repository management, Maven and nugget preferred
  • CI best practices
  • Spring, Spring Boot, Apache CXF, ActiveMQ and Camel
  • Zero MQ (0MQ)
  • XML, XML Schema, XML Transform and Schematron
  • JSON and OpenAPI. SwaggerHub
  • Ability to lead self by managing concurrent work on three to five projects (i.e. development and support) or tasks with minimal input from leadership
  • Candidates possessing development experience that includes HL7 V2, RIM, V3, CDA and HL7 Vocabularies, particularly LOINC and SNOMED is a plus
  • Candidates with prior experience with the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) is a plus
  • .NET Standard versions (.NET Framework 4.x, .NET Core, .NET
