Cybersecurity Analyst

We are growing!  Mission Critical Partners, LLC (MCP) is excited to announce a new position with our Lifecycle Managed Services Team.  The Cybersecurity Analyst will deploy cybersecurity monitoring solutions to our clients to include the development of processes and standards, conduct assessments on client systems, and execute deliverables providing expertise in the implementation and support of our internal and external client information technology (IT) programs.  The role requires a client-focused professional committed to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.

  • Develop a comprehensive data security program, including policy and procedures, training, execution, and monitoring.  Create standards, prepare reports, and maintain appropriate software, utilities, and tools
  • Perform cybersecurity assessments and/or audits of existing and newly acquired client systems to include vulnerability scans, physical inspections, and client interviews with an emphasis on data-gathering
  • Identify areas of vulnerability and ways in which to mitigate threats, make recommendations on particular improvements to internal controls and security, and carry out information security risk assessments annually
  • Deploy MCP monitoring services in client environments to identify any violations and security breaches that need to be resolved. Ensure breaches and anomalies are effectively handled through prompt response actions
  • Responsible for assisting clients with service deployments, such as providing configuration steps for setting up firewalls, routers, switches, and end systems
  • Act as the managed services subject matter expert focused on cybersecurity and support requirements.  Assure quality of the contracted managed service solution deliverables and client satisfaction
  • Share technical knowledge and expertise with peers - exchanging ideas, concepts, and methods that create a strong team approach to problem-solving and client solutions
  • Promote positive client relations, working with them as partners to develop long-term and meaningful relationships that are beneficial to them and to our firm
Basic Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least five years of successful and documented work experience in the assessment, specification, consultation, design, and implementation of managed services network solutions for enterprise voice and data
  • CompTIA Security+ or other related network certification is preferred
  • Experience with the following tools is required:
    • Log management platforms
    • Cloud computing technologies (AWS)
    • Enterprise vulnerability management platforms (Nessus)
    • Endpoint security suites (Cylance, CrowdStrike, Falcon, Endpoint)
    • Data loss prevention software and/or security-focused data analytics platforms
  • Highly experienced in providing desktop and laptop support
  • Deep skills working with intrusion detection systems and use of NIST 800-series publications
  • Comprehensive background with security controls as well as network and server system management
  • Proven skills and knowledge related to information security risk management
  • Strong analytical skills related to computer networks and systems with a proven history of assessing risks to determine how security policies can be improved
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly respond to security alerts and provide guidance to clients on remediation of issues
  • Exemplary communications skills and attention to detail to provide specific oral and written communications for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Critical thinking skills to assess risks and find new ways to protect the computer networks within client organizations, ability to resolve unforeseen problems and think strategically
  • Background with Emergency Services IP-enabled networks (ESInet), or 9-1-1 systems is a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive a vehicle to MCP regional offices and client sites
  • Along with MCP’s background screening, the selected individual will be required to successfully complete a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) identity history summary check to include fingerprinting
