IT Systems Technician

We have an opportunity for a Systems Technician to support the work of our Managed Services Division at Mission Critical Partners, LLC (MCP).  The individual will be expected to provide expertise in the implementation and support of our internal and external client information technology (IT) programs.  The role requires a client-focused professional committed to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.
  • Support managed services team engagements.  Configure, install, and manage various Windows Server and Active Directory deployments
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of network equipment
  • Participate in the development of reports, analyses, and team presentations
  • Perform surveys of existing client systems with an emphasis on data-gathering and potential system improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiencies
  • Share technical knowledge and expertise with peers – exhibit a positive attitude, exchanging ideas, concepts, and processes that create a strong team approach to problem-solving and client solutions
Basic Requirements, Knowledge and Skills
  • 5 years’ experience with enterprise IT systems
  • Associates or Technical Degree
  • Technically savvy with an understanding of network component technologies
  • Proven experience working with Windows-based end systems and application hosts to include troubleshooting Windows application hosted issues
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, identify, assess, and diagnose problems related to network hardware and software and to find effective solutions
  • Versatile and skilled in the assessment, specification, and implementation of enterprise IT (application and server), network migration, and operations
  • Development of operational standards and best practices that apply to IT
  • Experience and knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy implementation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and bend/crawl/maneuver around confined spaces
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive to MCP regional offices and client sites
  • Experience with ConnectWise applications is highly desired
  • Public safety technology experience is highly desired
  • Along with MCP’s background screening, the selected individual will be required to successfully complete a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) identity history summary check to include fingerprinting
