Proposal Coordinator - Business Development/Sales

This person will act as our Business Development/Sales Proposal Coordinator.  The individual will support a growing business development team.  The role requires an experienced proposal writer with a growth-oriented and results-driven professional manner and a commitment to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.

  • Coordinate proposal process for growing business development team with responsibilities to respond to competitive and sole source solicitations
  • Research, discover and source leads for proposal opportunities
  • Create scope of work content in response to client requirements
  • Develop entire proposals based on boilerplates in conjunction with internal teams specific to clients and their geography
  • Execute continuous proposal improvement process to include competitive analyses to ensure constant improvement of proposal content and presentation
  • Research and further qualify leads generated through website or vendor registrations to hand-off to business development managers
  • Conduct competitive analysis of competitor proposals, pricing, marketing and strategy to find value add for MCP
  • Maintain and update project experience sheets for existing and new projects for use as proposal references
Basic Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency communications, public safety and/or emergency management
  • Minimum 3 years of proposal development experience 
  • Successful history and background working with one or more of the following: Public Safety Operations, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Broadband and Wireless Communications for Public Safety, Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), IP based technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.  Knowledge of Deltek Vision and/or other automated sales management tools is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local agency policies and regulatory activities related to 9-1-1
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive to our client locations and MCP regional offices
