Business Development Manager - Public Safety Managed Services

Location: Various Locations, Nationwide
Mission Critical Partners has a strong desire to build long-term relationships and a commitment to serve the public safety community with a wide variety of Managed Service opportunities throughout the United States.  We have created an opportunity for a self-motivated individual looking to establish a career with a client-centric, fast-paced and growing company. The Business Development Manager will design, develop, and execute a comprehensive and time sensitive sales plan for managed services with strategies for growth throughout the United States with a focus in the Public Safety marketplace. Desired locations are Chicago/Midwest, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia or Florida but not required for the right individual.  This role requires an experienced Business Development professional, with a proven track record of success, who is committed to achieving success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.
 
Expectations
  • Research, discover and source leads. Utilize existing relationships to call on senior-level executives and forge new client opportunities
  • Build trusted relationships to meet sales targets resulting in client satisfaction and profitable engagements
  • Close new business deals. Build and maintain a sustainable sales backlog
  • Delight the client. Provide a positive client experience, working with them as partners to develop long-term and meaningful relationships
  • Participate in the procurement process for clients including the response to RFI, RFP, RFQ, and ITB. Remain current on service industry changes related to delivery capabilities, needs and expectations; and assess any impact to clients
  • Represent the Lifecycle Management Services practice at industry trade shows and conferences.  Seek out presentation opportunities to speak about our services

Basic Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in selling to public safety and/or emergency management entities
  • Minimum 5 years of managed services business development/sales experience, developing new opportunities and leading growth of outsourced support services for public safety and/or mission critical systems
  • Established relationships in both commercial and government environments serving the Public Safety and the 9-1-1 community
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office. Knowledge of Deltek Vision and/or other automated sales management tools is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to drive your own vehicle to our client locations and MCP regional offices
  • Requires up to 75% travel within the continental United States
